Mayor & Council

Mayor MacLeod was born and raised in Fairview. He is involved with many local volunteer organizations, including the Fairview Fire Department, Fire
& Rescue Society, Citizens on Patrol, Fairview Kings Senior Hockey Club, Kidsport, Fairview Curling Club, Heart of the Peace Recreation Society
and Alberta 55 Plus Summer Games. Mayor MacLeod is proud of Fairview, enjoys living here and hopes to improve the community through his
involvement with council.

Councillor Anne Grayson
"I was born in 1947 and lived in the Lucknow Ontario area for 30 years. I was an elementary school teacher married to Frank Reigling and we had four children: Craig, Todd, Lisa (Stranaghan) and Mark. In 1977, we moved to Whitelaw Alberta and I have been here in the Fairview area ever since. I have had many jobs such as working at Hotel Dieu (Whitelaw), Long Term Care Home care, Canfor and the Fairview Public Library. I have also taught Kindergarten and playschool. I am now married to Paul Grayson. So now, I am a Mom to four, a step-Mom to four, and Grannie Annie to sixteen grandchildren! I am so lucky. I also volunteer at the Fairview and Area Food Bank (where I am President) and the Fairview Victim Services Unit which works with the RCMP."

Councillor Dennis Radbourne
Born in Fairview, Dennis has spent the majority of his life in the community. In his earlier years after graduating high school, he was a licensed Insurance and Real Estate Agent.
In the mid 1970's he began employment with the local health authority as a licensed Practical Nurse. After twenty eight years in health care and emergency medical services he took the opportunity to manage the local senoirs lodge for a short period of time.
Dennis is presently employed by Roy Northern Land and Environmental as an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) facilitator, a position he has held for the past five years.
Married to Merel, they have raised their four children in the community and have been active in the many organizations as the children grew.
Dennis' previous local political experience was a term with the Fairview School Division.
His goal for this term of council is to and enhance relationships with GPRC and Fairview Municipal District No. 136, maintain services and work with council and administration to attract new businesses and residents.

Councillor Paul Buck
Born and raised in Fairview, Councillor Buck returned home after completing his university education. He is employed as a chemical representative and feels he has the time to give back to the community. His main goal as councillor is to encourage people to stay in Fairview, just as he chose to do.

Councillor Larry Chorney
Councillor Larry Chorney and his wife, Gloria have lived in Fairview for 47 years and raised a family here. He was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Fairview for 25 years. He previously served one term on council (1986-1989). Councillor Chorney is now retired and offering full-time service to his postion on council. He has a desire to provide good government and a safe and viable community, representing the will of the citizens. His focus is on economic development to broaden the assessable tax base in order to maintain the quality of life in Fairview.

Councillor Tim Schindel
Tim Schindel grew up on a farm just outside of Melville Sask. He moved to Fairview to manage the local RBC and he and his family have now lived in Fairview for just over 10 years. He believes it is important to give back to the community they love, have chosen to raise their 3 children and do business. From day one he has been involved in local organizations including: the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, local Church Board, the Heart of the Peace Recreation Society, and is now serving his second term on council. Tim believes his strengths are in the areas of administration, finance, and standing firm on matters he feels will have a positive effect on his community. He believes in honest and fair government and seeks to provide a sincere ear for the community and representation on council.

Councillor Tony Prybysh
Having moved to Fairview in 1969, Councillor Prybysh served on council from 1974 to 1983, 2004 to 2010, and has again won his seat for the next three year term. He strives to recognize opportunities and believes in public consultation. He has served on the Fairview Library Board, Fine Arts Society, Municipal Planning Commission and Community Health Council. Councillor Prybysh would like to improve the tax base with more commercial and industrial development opportunities.
