Non – Instructed Programs

Early Bird Lane Swim – We have five lanes available. Anyone can attend, no registration required.

Parent & Tot Swim – Adults/Guardians with children under the age of 6.

Family Swim – Adults/Guardians with their children. Does not include extended family, i.e. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc…

Public Swims – Anyone can attend. Children 6 years or younger must be attended by a responsible person 14 years or older.

Aqua Jogging – Deep Water aqua fitness instruction boards are displayed. Patrons can do the exercises they chose at their own pace. No registration required.
Instructed Programs - Adult

Fit & 50+ Aqua-Size – This aqua fitness class is designed for the “senior” population. It is a shallow water class. No registration required.

Day Time Aqua-Size – Anyone can attend. In-water babysitting is offered in conjunction with this class for a fee of $2.00 per child. Children must be over the age of 2. No registration required.

Evening Aqua-Size – Anyone can attend. Tuesday’s are deep water classes. Thursday’s are shallow water. No registration required.

Adult Swim Lessons – A program designed to each individual’s ability and needs! Whether you are starting from scratch or would like to improve your strokes, come learn from experienced instructors in a welcoming and educational environment. 16 years and up. Registration required.

Masters Swim Club – This is a facility run swim club for adults. With the aid of experienced instructors & coaches we will work together as a team to improve strokes and increase over-all fitness with the optional goal of competition. Intended for competent swimmers over the age of 18.

Sears I Can Swim lessons – These lessons are for children 6 years and older. The Sears I Can Swim program is a progressive program designed by Canadian Swim Coaches & Instructors. Lesson sets consist of 10 lessons.

- Splash Zone Day Camp – No School? Bring them to the Pool! An all day multi activity day camp for children ages 6-12, on week days where there is no school. Participants should arrive with: swim suit, towel, outdoor clothes, a lunch and a morning and afternoon snack. Child must be registered at least 2 days prior to the day of the camp. You may register for multiple days.
- Fairview Flippers Swim Club - The Fairview Flipper are a facility ran "Age group" winter swim club. The club trains from September to the end of April. Swimmers can train as competive or non-competive. Swimmers must be 6 years of age or older and able to swim one length of the pool non-stop. Instructed Programs – Preschool

Sears I Can Swim lessons – We offer parented and non-parented preschool lessons. Lesson sets consist of five lessons.

Ducklings & Dinos – Parented. Parents learn how to enjoy the water with their child and children learn how to relax and be comfortable in the water.

Dolphins – Non-parented. For children ages 3-5 yrs. The children learn to be independent in the water through play and structured skill development.
Lifeguard Courses

Bronze Medallion – Participant must be at least 13 years of age and posses the ability to swim 20 lengths in 15 minutes. Basic lifesaving skills are taught to participants.

Bronze Cross – Participant must already hold a current Bronze Medallion and posses the ability to swim 24 lengths in 18 minutes. Review lifesaving skills taught in Bronze Medallion & expand upon skills.

Standard First Aid – the basic knowledge of how to handle first aid emergencies is taught to participants. Skills such as Rescue Breathing, Obstructed Airways and CPR are taught.

National Lifeguard Service Award (NLS) – Participant must be at least 16 years of age and hold a current Bronze Cross and Standard First Aid. This award is the minimum requirement to become a certified lifeguard in Alberta.

Sears I Can Swim Teacher – Participants must be at least 15 years or older and hold a current Bronze Cross. Participants are taught the necessary skills needed to confidently teach all ages, from parented preschool to adult lessons.
