The Town of Fairview is seeking a cheerful and experienced Reception/Office Assistant.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Reception/Office Assistant is responsible for handling the front office reception and providing administrative support as required within the Finance and Administration department.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing exceptional customer service in a highly professional manner
• Answer and forward incoming telephone calls
• Process cash register transactions
• Provide backup for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Utilities, and Property Taxation

Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Must have basic computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping and reception will be an asset

Additional Notes

Compensation:
Salary starting from $47,934/year and adjusted annually.

Starting in December 2024, this is a 12-month temporary position to cover a maternity leave (35 hrs/week) in an office environment; with a typical weekday working day of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
