Town of Fairview Municipal Elections

Municipal elections are held every four years, during which residents elect a Mayor and six Councillors to serve four-year terms.

Council members are elected at-large, meaning both the Mayor and Councillors represent the entire population of the Town of Fairview.

2025 Municipal Election Information

At the close of Nomination Day September 22, 2025, the number of candidates nominated for Chief Elected Official - Mayor is the same as the number required to be elected, therefore the Returning Officer shall declare the candidate to be acclaimed to the office for which there were nominated.

  • Gordon MacLeod - acclaimed - incumbent

At the close of Election Day October 20, 2025, the following candidates nominated for Councillor will be appointed to the office of Councillor.

Councillor

  • Christopher Laue - incumbent with 201 votes
  • Lloyd Campbell with 184 votes
  • Erin Sawchuk with 170 votes
  • Jo Anne Fleming - incumbent with 162 votes
  • Andrew Pietsch with 140 votes
  • Stanley Golob - incumbent with 134 votes

The following candidates did not receive the votes required to be elected to Council, therefore have received No Appointment

  • Trisha James – 130 votes
  • Amanda Golob – 106 votes
