Municipal elections are held every four years, during which residents elect a Mayor and six Councillors to serve four-year terms. Council members are elected at-large, meaning both the Mayor and Councillors represent the entire population of the Town of Fairview.

You can register to vote at any time but there are several benefits to registering ahead of an election, such as making the voting process faster and easier, because you won’t have to register at the voting place.
Nomination period is January 1 to September 22, 2025.
Candidates can file nomination papers during the nomination period with the Returning Officer however it is recommended that an appointment be made with the Returning Officer to ensure availability.
Nomination Day is Monday, September 22, 2025.
Nomination packages must be filed in person with the Returning Officer before noon on Nomination Day.
Election Day is Monday, October 20, 2025.
Advance Voting Day is Monday October 6, 2025.

Once you have printed and completed the above forms, please book an appointment to file your submission in person with the Returning Officer, or designate, at the Administration Office during the town's hours of operation by 12 noon on Nomination Day, September 22, 2025.
