The purpose of this project is to develop a strategy that reflects community needs and plans for the future of recreation facilities and programs in Fairview.
This project will engage community members in the Town and MD of Fairview to gather input on and better understand their current and future needs for recreation facilities and programs.
There are several ways to provide input, including online surveys, pop-up engagement stations, one-on-one interviews, and an open offer to speak with the consultant team.
An online resident survey will be developed and shared on this webpage when the survey launches. It takes under 10 minutes to complete!

We are bringing the conversation to you! The project team will be in Fairview to host pop-up engagement stations. These stations provides a convenient, drop-in style opportunity for you to share your input. The stations will feature project boards that you can “stick” your input onto as well as fun, family-friendly activities to enjoy. Drop by one of the stations described below, add your voice, and help shape what comes next for recreation in Fairview.
Families and facility users are invited to join us at the Fairview Arena and the Fairview Regional Aquatic Centre for fun activities and to share their perspectives on recreation facilities and programs in Fairview.
Youth are invited to attend a pizza party and share what matters to them when it comes to recreation facilities and programs in Fairview.
Seniors are invited to enjoy coffee and cake and share their perspectives on recreation facilities and programs in Fairview.

We want to ensure that all voices are heard. If you are unable to participate in any of the planned engagement opportunities, please email Maxwell Harrison at Maxwell@expeditionconsulting.ca by November 6, 2026 and he will work with you to collect your input.
Community engagement will take place from the week of October 5 to November 6, 2026.
The Final Report is scheduled to be completed in July 2027.
