Notice of Intent to Consider Advertising Statutory Notices Bylaw 1085/GEN/2023

Take Notice that the Town of Fairview Council has on March 7, 2023 given the first reading to Bylaw 1085/GEN/2023 which, upon final approval, the Bylaw would provide alternative methods of advertising proposed Bylaws, resolutions, meetings, Public Hearings, and other decisions/actions that are legally required to be advertised. 

Council may, in accordance of the Municipal Government Act sections 230(1) and 606.1(3) hold the Public Hearing for Bylaw 1085/GEN/2023 Advertising Statutory Notices Bylaw at the April 4, 2023 regular Council Meeting.  Unless a petition of the electors for a vote on the proposed Bylaw is presented in accordance with section 231(4), Council intends to present the proposed Bylaw for approval.

Interested persons may inspect the proposed bylaw at the Town of Fairview administration office, 10209 – 109 st Provincial Building, 101; Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Copies of the proposed Bylaw are available at the administration office or on our website: https://www.fairview.ca/

Town of Fairview Council will receive any written or verbal delegation submissions respecting the proposed Bylaw at a Public Hearing.  Written submissions or delegation requests can be submitted in person, by mail, or by EMAIL not later than 12:00 pm March 30, 2023 at:
