Town of Fairview & Fairview Curling Club – Joint Statement

November 9th, 2022

The Town of Fairview has been informed by Associated Engineering Alberta Ltd. that the recent inspection of the Curling Rink building on November 8, 2022 has resulted in a No-Occupancy Permitted order, due to the observed structural failures within the roof structure.

The Town of Fairview is committed to the safety for all facility users; and it is with great sadness that the Town of Fairview with the Fairview Curling Club, is requiring the cancellation of all programming and events within the Fairview Curling Rink, effective immediately.  Occupancy is no longer permitted within the facility until structural defects are rectified.

The Town of Fairview has begun the process of determining the requirements for repairing the structural failures and regaining access to the facility for our regional users.  The Town of Fairview and the Fairview Curling Club thank all users and visitors for their understanding, continued patronage, and for keeping the safety of all paramount.

Fairview Public Works Notice

Fairview Public Works Notice

The Fairview water distribution system is in the process of system upgrades which has changed the direction to the water flow within town. This, together with a reservoir water colour distortion has resulted in water discolouration at the tap.

The water quality remains excellent and is continually monitored / tested to ensure the highest standards. Please run tap water for a short duration to clear lines.

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
