Public Works Utility Operator II or III

The Town of Fairview is recruiting a Public Works Utility Operator II or III.

This full‑time permanent role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and LAPP pension.

The successful candidate will support the operation and maintenance of municipal water and wastewater systems, equipment operation, and seasonal public works activities.

“Maintain water, sewer, and stormwater facilities, including pumps and valves.”

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and possess a valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Q endorsement.

Required provincial certifications include Water Distribution Level 2, Water Treatment Level 2 (Level 3 preferred), Wastewater Collection Level 2, and Wastewater Treatment Level 1.

Applicants should have experience operating heavy equipment and hand tools, working knowledge of SCADA systems, strong communication and organizational skills, and the physical ability to perform manual tasks.

A Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract may be requested.
